What is Personal training?

Personal training, is one-on-one instruction incorporating exercise screening, goal-setting, and health wellness education. Our highly-skilled trainers possess the knowledge of human anatomy and fundamental exercise principles in order to design safe and effective programs.


What do OUR personal trainerS do?

After a complimentary initial consultation, our trainers design a fitness program tailored to the needs of each individual. They help clients reach their goals through appropriate cardiovascular, flexibility, and resistance exercises. Some other responsibilities include demonstrating exercises, assisting to prevent injuries, and monitoring client progress.

Oftentimes working out with someone else can be an effective way to stay motivated. Having a professional trainer by your side can provide a level of consistency and confidence that’s sometimes missing when exercising alone.

We highly recommend Ironside athletics for your athlete. Our son is a competitive figure skater. His trainer at Ironside, Alex, has been incredible and very detail oriented. He has taken the time to talk with our son’s coaches, watched videos and even came to watch him compete so that he could understand what the sport of figure skating is all about. Alex has customized our son’s workouts to target the areas that he needs to be extra strong in, all while being careful not to bulk him up. The results are apparent and have helped our son stay healthy and take his skating to the next level. If you have a student athlete, or are an athlete yourself, I highly recommend this gym. We do both personal training and the group classes and couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
